The Chicago Graphic Design Club asked a series of Chicago-based designers to design a t-shirt that responds to the term “family”.

Lucia says: “My concept focuses less on the community aspects of ‘family’ and more on its role as the foundational cornerstone of society — an essential building block that is both flawless and flawed. It's a layered tapestry composed of diverse elements and forms. Simple two-dimensional shapes interweave to create a visually intricate, seemingly three-dimensional structure, mirroring the complex, interwoven nature of family."
